Incredible India....truly a bucket-list, once-in-a-lifetime journey. The people, history, food, customs, and spirituality are unique and eye-opening. India is steeped in history with a 2,000+ year old architectural heritage linked to the country's major religions. We flew into Delhi, the capital of India. Delhi is a bustling city with impressive landmarks and sacred buildings. Delicious cuisine and history are around every corner. Next came Varanasi, the holiest Hindu city with a legacy that dates back 3,000 years. We stayed in the Brijrama Palace overlooking the Ganges River, an area where people come to bathe, swim, pray, and gather. Next we traveled to Agra, home of the rightfully famous Taj Mahal. The Taj has best been decribed as, "a vision, a dream, a poem, a wonder." We stayed at the Oberoi Amarvillas where every room has a view of the beautiful Taj. The Taj Mahal was even more beautiful and special than I imagined it to be. You have to see it to believe it! Next came Jaipur and Udaipur. Jaipur, the Pink City is chock full of colorful bazaars, ornate palaces, and prominent buildings. You can take an elephant ride into the City Palace, just as the Royals did many centuries ago. Udaipur is a fairy-tale city surrounded by rolling hills. Its marble palaces and Lake Pichola are absolute must-sees. Our last stop was Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay where you can go to Bollywood for a studio tour, visit Gandhi's apartment and take a boat ride to the Elephanta Caves. The Caves are a World Heritage Site and are believed to have been carved beginning in the 9th century. We stayed at the Taj Mahal Palace, a gorgeous historic hotel overlooking the Gateway of India and the Arabian Sea. India is truly a journey. It will open your eyes and mind to new experiences. I promise you that you will return with many stories to tell about this truly unique travel destination. Call me at 954-324-8783 to help plan your seamless journey to Incredible India.I
